(Dunya News) – Established at Civil Hospital Jacobabad after spending millions of rupees, the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Dialysis Centre turned into a dump, just two years into its creation.

The condition of the centre due to the negligence of the Sindh Government is a proof of the authorities’ inadequacy across the province.

Civil Hospital Jacobabad, which is a central healthcare centre for the people of Northern Sindh, Balochistan and parts of Punjab is home to the Benzair Bhutto Shaheed Dialysis Centre that was established in 2008.

Even though the hospital has an annual budget of Rs. 160 Million, the staff is seen complaining about the lack of funds to keep the hospital running.

Set up to facilitate patients with failed kidneys, the hospital’s dialysis centre has shut down since 2010 due to ‘lack of funds.’

Speaking to Dunya News, the management of the hospital said that the Sindh Government does not release funds to keep the centre running.
