Peshawar: Vintage cars hit the roads

(Dunya News) – As part of the car rally held by the Frontier Core, vintage cars from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s were seen back on the roads of Peshawar.

The rally was participated by owners of vintage as well as other rare cars from all across the country. It was organised as part of the Frontier Core’s ‘F.C. Week’.

I.G. F.C. Major General Shaheen Mazhar Mahmood welcomed the unique-cars’ owners from Karachi at Peshawar’s Bala Hissar Fort, who later expressed gratitude over the warm welcome by the people of Peshawar.

Livening up the roads of the provincial capital, the decades-old vehicles including 1951’s Rolls Royce, 1960’s Mercedes, MG and Humber Hawk truly reflected the age-old proverb, ‘old is gold’.

While the rally exhibiting vintage and unique cars initiated from the Bala Hissar Fort for the first time in history, it concluded upon its arrival at a fort located near the Machni Checkpost in Landi Kotal.
