Four terrorists killed in CTD operation in Faisalabad

Four terrorists of banned outfit were killed in exchange of fire with CTD in Faisalabad on Friday.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has foiled a major terror bid in Faisalabad on late Friday night and shot dead four terrorists of a banned organization in exchange of fire, Dunya News reported.

According to CTD spokesperson, CTD Faisalabad set up a check post on intelligence report at the Sargodha Road in the jurisdiction of Nishatabad Police Station and asked seven to eight suspects riding on four motorcycles to stop but the motorcycle riders opened fire at the CTD personnel. The CTD officials returned the fire during which four terrorists were killed.

The spokesman further informed that three to four terrorists managed to escape from the scene taking advantage of the darkness.

The law enforcement agencies also recovered two Kalashnikovs, pistols, three kilogram of explosive material, two detonators and two motorcycles from the terrorists.

The CTD spokesperson informed that the dead terrorists belonged to a banned organization. A case has also been registered and the bodies of dead terrorists were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.
