20 dead as truck carrying coal crushes van in Khairpur
The security personnel said that the death toll may escalate.
KHAIRPUR (Dunya News) – At least 20 people were killed while three others sustained severe wounds as a speeding truck carrying coal crushed van in Khairpur today (Monday).
According to police officers, the van was en route to Sukkhur from Khairpur when the mishap occurred. They said that rescue operation is underway to shift the victims to hospital.
The security personnel further said that the death toll may escalate.
Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the traffic accident. He also commiserated with the bereaved families and directed to provide best possible medical care to the injured.
