David Hale and Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa discussed peace process in Afghanistan and security relations

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – US ambassador to Pakistan David Hale called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday to discuss issues of mutual interests, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

David Hale discussed the security situation in Afghanistan and other matters related to the peace process. He mentioned the ties between the United States (US) and Pakistan while briefing the US policy review for South Asia and Afghanistan.

Gen Bajwa responded to the concerns and made suggestions regarding the peace and security in Afghanistan. He discussed mutual relations between the US and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Major General Yousaf Ahmad, Commander of Royal Air Force in Jordan, also called on the Army Chief and discussed the security ties between the two states. Both military leaders exchanged thoughts on the security situation within their regions.
