The notification issued by Sindh government said all educational institutes will remain closed

(Web Desk) – Sindh government on Thursday announced to honour the Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai with a province-wide holiday on November 4, 2017.

The notification issued by the provincial government stated that all educational institutes as well as government offices will remain closed to commemorate Urs of the pious saint. Every year, thousands of devotees and visitors from all parts of the country reach Bhitshah to attend the Urs and offer special prayers.

Last year, Sajjada Nasheen and custodian of the Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai’s mausoleum, Syed Waqar Hussain Shah Latifee, had visited the shrine, laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha. Sajjada Nasheens of various dargahs from across Pakistan had held a meeting in Bhitshah on the eve of the Urs during which it was demanded that the teachings of Sufi Saints should be included in the textbooks of primary to university level.

The three-day Urs will commence from November 4, 2017. It is celebrated every year which rich enthusiasm and fervour.
