Shah says that the NAB chairman's appointment will be finalized before October 8.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Opposition leader Khurshid Shah will meet again with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi today (Tuesday) to discuss the appointment of new chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Shah says that the names proposed for chairman NAB will be taken into consideration and the appointment will be finalized before October 8.

He said that both Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have not put forward any name for the chairman despite being contacted thrice.

A similar meeting was also held a day before between both the leaders to discuss the matter.

Khurshid Shah congratulated Nawaz Sharif on being elected unopposed as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president in the intra-party elections.

"I have no objection over Nawaz being elected as PML-N president however; the way the constitution was amended for one person was not a right tradition," he said.

He lashed out at PTI and MQM and called for interrogation over the role of the parties in the approval of election reforms bill. Shah claimed that both the parties stage protest in National Assembly to conceal their mistake.
