Both PTI and PPP demanded the government to restore previous prices of petroleum products

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Both the largest opposition parties in National Assembly, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have verbally protested against the hike in fuel prices introduced by the federal government from October 1 after formal approval of summary sent by OGRA to Ministry of Finance earlier.

PTI Chairman Imran took to Twitter and slammed the decision taken by PML-N saying, "A callous PMLN govt has once again burdened the ppl of Pak with fuel price hikes, to cover their own incompetence & corruption."

On the other hand, PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said hike in petroleum prices is an attack maneuvered against the poor, adding that it is a ploy to spread chaos in the country. "Nawaz Sharif is taking revenge from the people after his disqualification … it proves that not only Nawaz Sharif but the whole PML-N is ineligible," he claimed.

He advised the ruling party to develop fear of the people and demanded them to restore old prices of petroleum products. He maintained that the people should not be overburdened because of the incompetency of the ruling party.
