Terror plan in Karachi during Muharram thwarted, encounter in Sachal saw five terrorists killed

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Five al-Qaeda and Islamic State (IS) terrorists were on Thursday killed in an encounter in Sachal with police as a plan of terrorism during the month of Muharram was thwarted and a remote control car was seized, reported Dunya News.

Malir SSP Rao Anwar took action against the terrorists but as the police arrived, the terrorists started firing on them. In response, five alleged terrorists were killed. Talking to media, Rao Anwar told that the terrorists killed belong to al-Qaeda and IS and were involved in many terror attacks.

One of those killed, named Aamir Sharif, was an expert on drones and was an engineer. He had the ability to control the drone with the help of technology. All these terrorists were planning for an attack during the month of Muharram.

SSP Rao Anwar said that the timely action had saved the city from a huge disaster. He told that a car and arms were also seized from the terrorists.
