Teachers in Karachi are protesting against non-payment of their salaries

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi Police used batons and water cannons to disperse the teachers who were protesting against the non-payment of their salaries at Karachi Press Club, reported Dunya News.

According to details these teachers have not received their salaries since 2012. When the protesters decided to leave for chief minister house, police attacked the protesters, which resulted in injuring many teachers while many others were left unconscious.

Some of the teachers were put into police wagons and taken to the nearest police stations.The protesters were of the opinion, they were appointed as teachers in 2012, but then ministry of education of Sindh fired them without giving any reason. “We ask the government of Sindh to review our demands and give us justice,” the protesters demanded.
