Special Azadi Train reaches Karachi

Azadi Train which started countrywide tour from Islamabad on August 12 reached Karachi on Sunday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Special Azadi Train which started countrywide tour from Margalla Station, Islamabad on August 12 reached its final destination Karachi on Sunday, Dunya News reported

SSP Railways Robin Yamin and a large number of people were present at the railway station to welcome the Azadi Train. The initiative was taken by the government to educate the people about the history and culture of Pakistan.

The train is carrying decorated floats depicting the cultures of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Azadi Train’s historical galleries and beautifully decorated cultural floats are attracting a large number of people. The galleries of Azadi Train contains the replicas of country famous and historical buildings and place like Mazar-i-Quaid, Faisal Mosque, CPEC modal, Bab-e-Khyber, Quaid’s Ziarat Residency and Shahi Qila.

A large number students and families also visited Azadi Train galleries. The visitors lauded federal government for plying special Azadi Train to educate people about culture and history of the country.

One bogie of the Azadi Train has been reserved for Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) to highlight the sacrifices of the war heroes and pay tributes to the Armed Forces for their services for the nation. The ISPR bogie was added to exhibit the pictures of the sacrifices and the models based on modern weaponry.
