Mohammad Zubair raises objections over the Sindh Accountability Bill 2017

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair on Thursday raised objections over the Sindh Accountability Bill 2017 and sent it back to the Sindh Assembly again, reported Dunya News.

Zubair pointed out that powers given to the chairman of Sindh Accountability Agency were unconstitutional while the director general and directors had fewer powers then required.

Earlier on July 3, Sindh Assembly had passed a bill titled the National Accountability Ordinance 1999 Sindh Repeal Bill 2017, however, Muhammad Zubair refused to sign it and sent it back after raising objections. The bill was passed again on July 27 but it was not approved by Sindh Governor on that occasion too.
