MQM-P postpones APC as PTI, PPP, JI, ANP refuse to attend

KARACHI (Dunya News) – All Parties Conference (APC) of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) that was scheduled today (Tuesday), has been postponed due to lack of participation of major political parties.

According to details, MQM-P invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Awami National Party and Functional League who refused to attend the grand meeting.

However, new date of the conference will soon be announced. 

Talking to media, MQM-P Chief Farooq Sattar revealed that all parties assured to participate in the meeting due to which sudden decision to boycott APC is not comprehensible.

He said that we came to know through media about the boycott.

Sattar said MQM-P is second largest party of Sindh who always displayed historical unity with Pakistan’s constitution. We rejected slogans raised by MQM founder, he added.

MQM-P chief said we took unprecedented decision on August 22 last year.
