Boy dies after falling into open manhole in Lahore
A three-year-old boy was killed after falling into an open manhole in Lahores Nishat Colony.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A three-year-old boy died after falling into an open manhole in Nishat Colony area of Lahore on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, three-year-old Azan was going with his mother when he fell into an open manhole due to darkness. The residents of the area started rescue work immediately on self-help basis and also informed Rescue 1122.
Rescue 1122 reached the spot and recovered the child from the manhole after a hectic effort of four hours. The child was rushed to hospital in critical condition where he died
Open manholes in the area are posing a threat to the lives of the residents, but the authorities concerned have turned a deaf ear towards the issue.
