Dr Qadri announces sit-in on Lahore's Mall Road on Aug 16

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Dr Tahirul Qadri, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief has announced to stage a sit-in against the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on August 16 on Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam.
Dr Qadri addressed a press conference in the provincial capital and made the announcement.
The PAT chief had earlier aligned with Pakistan’s longest running sit-in in history staged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad at D-Chowk against alleged rigging of the federally ruling party in General Elections 2013.
Earlier on August 8, Dr Qadri arrived in Lahore after over a month from Oslo, Canada and addressed a rally in Nasir Bagh of Lahore during which he delivered a tirade against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
