Security beefed up ahead of Nawaz arrival in Lahore
Law enforcement agencies have beefed up security in Lahore ahead of Nawaz Sharif arrival.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The law enforcement agencies have beefed up security in Lahore ahead of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif arrival in the city, Dunya News reported.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel on Thursday arrested several suspects during operations in Lahore, Sheikhupura and Gujranwala.
Police and Rangers carried out joint operation in different parts of Lahore. Biometric device was also used for the verification of residents during house-to-house search in various localities, hotels and truck stands in the city.
Aerial surveillance was also carried out on the route of the Nawaz Sharif s homecoming rally including Imamia Colony, Shahdara, Ravi Road, Bhatti Gate, Jail Road and Canal Road.
