MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that no one should doubt MQM-Pakistan's loyalty towards homeland

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar announced Wednesday that his party will celebrate Independence Day festival from August 11 to August 14.

He stated that one year has passed since MQM-P started its political career as an independent party, applying the minus-1 formula. Addressing media persons during press conference in Karachi, Farooq Sattar said that the missing activists should’ve been retrieved until now.

While talking about the problems faced by MQM-P, he further objected that their several offices remain closed while the kidnapping of party workers has increased in the recent past. Farooq Sattar added that the constitution should be supreme and rule of law should be upheld.

MQM-P s temporary office is operational at Bahadurabad, Karachi. The party leadership met delegation from the ruling party, led by Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubayr Umer and Lt Gen Abdul Qayyum. The meeting was held for the purpose of gathering support for Shahid Khaqan s election as Prime Minister in National Assembly voting. MQM had pledged their support to PML-N candidate and withdrawn their own candidate.
