Absence of machinery impedes rescue efforts for five missing in Skardu
Five persons are missing since Thursday.
SKARDU (Dunya News)- Efforts to clear roads and restore traffic continue at slow pace as heavy machinery and manpower have failed to reach mountainous area owing to extreme weather conditions.
Rescue teams have continued hunt for the five missing persons at Deosai road-Sadpara whereas locals, in absence of heavy machinery, are carrying out rescue operations on their own behalf.
Meanwhile, Hussainabad has lost connection with three districts of Gilgit Baltistan as bridge has collapsed due to land sliding.
