Ambiguity persists over name of next Punjab CM: Kamran Khan
Hamza Shehbaz is likely to replace his father.
LAHORE (Dunya News)- Senior analysts and anchorperson Kamran Khan stated that name of the person who would likely fill Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif’s shoes has not been finalized yet and ambiguity persists in this regard.
While responding to same question, senior analyst Habib Akram replied that air is thick with rumors but it was ousted Nawaz Sharif who would make final call on the issue which was dominating country’s political spectrum in the aftermath of Panamagate.
“Hamza Shehbaz is likely to replace his father but he has to contest by-poll and this situation would create bad perception. Ruling party would suffer major blow if Hamza Shehbaz fails in delivering in Pakistan’s largest province,” pronounced Akram.
“If Hamza remains de facto chief minister, then Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Rana Iqbal are favourite candidates,” asserted Akram.
On the other hand, host of Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath has prophesied NA-120 by-poll as uphill battle for PML-N as PTI is expected to put up a close fight.
