From Nisar's explosive presser to SC's decision to release final verdict Today.

(Web Desk) - Little did PML-N know that it would be an eventful Thursday, leading to an even more eventful Friday.

First, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar bombarded the party with the news that he will resign from his post following the SC’s judgment on Panama Papers.

Right after the press conference by Nisar, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, in an unexpected move, notified to announce its final verdict on the Panama Papers case involving Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family on Friday (Today).

As if Chaudhry Nisar’s tumultuous press conference wasn’t enough for the ruling PML-N, the SC’s announcement has created a scene of confusion and curiosity.

The Supreme Court announced its decision to release the final verdict a day before.

Amid the Panama papers chaos, PML-N has been facing internal conflicts, with Chaudhry Nisar making it prominent through his repeated absence from party meetings that he has conflict of interests with the leadership.

However, Nisar during the press conference said that he was not invited to most of the meetings.

Interior Minister said, "My role in PML-N is that of the boys who would stand on Roman emperors’ sides and kept telling him Caesar you’re a human.”

"I’ve always been the devil’s advocate in PML-N", he said.

Despite repeating that he had no grudges against the party and was a loyal aide of PM Nawaz, Nisar announced that he will be resigning from his post right after the SC makes its final decision on the Panama Case.

"I have told my leadership that I will resign the day Supreme Court announces its verdict; no matter which side it goes. Whether it is in our favour or against us, I’ll resign from the cabinet and also from the National Assembly seat", he said.

However, he said that he will not leave the party but will not contest for any position in the future.

The five-judge larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan will announce the decision at 11.30 am in courtroom No 1.
