PIA workers end protests, flights operations resume

Protests by the PIA workers in stop protesting after their demands were met. The flight operations resumed to normal when the protests ended. Domestic and international flights start from Karachi.

Successful negotiations between the Joint action committee and Rehman Malik ended the protest and the flights operations return to schedule. The resignation of MD PIA Ijaz Haroon was also received as the airport staff resumed their everyday duties.The first flight from Karachi to Islamabad PK 300, Islamabad to Quetta PK 363, flight from Lahore to Islamabad PK 385 left on schedule. International flights also resumed as PK 711 from Lahore to London left on schedule.As the flight operations returned to normal after the protests ended and people started coming to the airports in routine. According to the airport authorities, Flight PK 203 will fly to Dubai, PK 757 will fly to London and PK 207 will fly to Delhi from Lahore. On the other hand, in domestics flights PK 356 will fly to Islamabad, PK 288 to Peshawar and PK 329 will fly to Quetta from Lahore. The extra security that was put up during the protest was also removed and normal security measure resumed.Flight operations in Multan have also resumed. The flight PK 732 coming in to Multan from Karachi arrived one hour late whereas flight PK 331 left for Karachi from Multan on schedule. According to PIA officials the flight operations in the country has resumed and commuters will not face any difficulties.
