Parts of Karachi plunge into darkness after tripping 150 feeders

The K-Electric spokesperson said that power supply to affected areas will be restored very soon.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Almost half of Karachi plunged into darkness as high tension line of the Bin Qasim circuit-two tripped due to heavy rain in the city on Wednesday which resulted in the shutdown of at least 26 grid stations.

Sources said that feeders attached with Lalazar, Alder Road, Lyari, North Nazimabad grid stations were affected. Electricity supply from grid stations of Federal-A Area, Federal-B Area, Airpor, Pipri, KCR was also affected.

On the other hand, a spokesperson of K-Electric has claimed that 64 grid stations of the city are still running. He further informed that power supply to affected areas will be restored very soon.
