Security to remain on high alert in KP during Eid

Additional 1200 officers have been appointed for security purposes in the province.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Owing to the terror threats, the security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will remain on red alert during Eid-ul-Fitr for the security of people.

Security plan has been devised to guard Eid gatherings in more than 247 mosques in Peshawar. It has been divided into three parts consisting of monitoring of markets, Eid prayers and cities during the three days of Eid.

Apart from regular police force, additional 1200 officers have been appointed for security purposes. According to Inspector General Police, the officials have been directed to take strict security measures and to protect passengers as well.
