Five suspected terror facilitators arrested in Mandi Bahauddin
Nationwide Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad is underway as police, CTD and Rangers conduct joint raids
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad is successfully underway throughout the nation as security forces have arrested five suspects involved in facilitation of terrorists from Mandi Bahauddin district.
A joint search operation was carried out by Punjab Rangers, Counter Terrorism Department, police and intelligence agencies in several areas of Mandi Bahauddin on Thursday. During the search operation of these areas, the security forces arrested five suspects. They were allegedly involved in facilitation of terrorist, being part of terror activities in the country. The suspects were apprehended and transferred to an unknown location for detailed interrogation.
Police, Rangers and CTD officials seized illegal weapons from these suspects. Their hideouts contained illegal automatic weapons and ammunition.
Earlier, a huge cache of weapons was recovered during search operation in several regions of Khyber Agency. ISPR told that the security forces launched intelligence based operations (IBOs) in Akka Khel, Guli Khel and Ghaibi. The security personnel recovered sub machine guns (SMGs), improvised explosive devices (IED) and fuses, from the hideouts.
Pakistan Army told their operations aims to indiscriminately eliminating residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made thus far and further ensuring security of the borders.
