COAS, Turkish defence minister agree to enhance defence cooperation

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday called upon Defence Minister of Turkey, Mr Fikri ISIK in Turkey.

During the meeting, matters pertinent to regional situation and mutual security cooperation were discussed.

Both the COAS and Turkish defence minister agreed upon the vigorous potential for cooperation in various fields including security policies, defence production and human resource training.



Earlier, the army chief visited Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and was briefed about the projects being undertaken by TAI in both military and civil aviation industry.

General Bajwa warmly appreciated the indigenous technical prowess being achieved by Turkey and professed that Pakistan has great technological and industrial potential that will open the scope for very meaningful defence cooperation between the two countries.
