Chaman border tensions: CM Zehri takes notice of migrating families' plight

No officials of the administration are there to monitor the process

CHAMAN (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sanaullah Zehri on Thursday has taken notice of issued faced by locals over tensions with Afghanistan at Chaman border.

Locals residing near the Line of Control were instructed by the military to evacuate their houses and migrate to safer places until normalcy returns.

However, each family was provided with inadequate supplies and expired eatables. Reportedly, each family was given a cooking utensil, two mugs, a carpet and a tent. No officials of the administration are there to monitor the process.

Balochistan CM has taken notice of the issue after Dunya News aired the news highlighting their plight.

Zehri has ordered Commission and Deputy Commissioner concerned to review the situation and provide the facilities necessary to the affected families.
