Power shortfall reaches 5,550MW
The total power demand in the country is 19,550 megawatts while power production is 14,000 megawatts
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A power shortfall of 5,550 megawatts has been noticed across the country within the last few days.
As per details, an increase in power demand within the country has been observed for the past few days after which overall power shortfall exceeded five thousand megawatts.
Currently, the total power demand in the country is 19,550 megawatts while present power production is 14,000 megawatts.
Sources revealed that the shortfall alone reached 3000 megawatts within the last ten days.
Meanwhile, Minister for Water and Power has revealed that 3500 megawatts is being produced from water, 2500 megawatts from Jinko and 8000 megawatts from IPPs.
