WEB DESK – After ten Iranian border guards were killed during the last month’s attack by the militants, the Iranian government has quite recently come up with new warning for Islamabad.

As per details, the head of the Iranian armed forces on Monday warned that Tehran would hit militants ‘safe havens’ inside Pakistan if the government does not act against militants who carry out cross-border attacks.

The Iranian government alleged that Jaish al Adl, a militant group, had shot the guards with long-range guns and that the also from inside Pakistan.

It is also pertinent to mention that the border between Pakistan and Iran has long been aggravated by drug smuggling gangs and also the separatist militants.

"We cannot accept the continuation of this situation," Major General Mohammad Baqeri, the head of the Iranian armed forces revealed to the state news agency IRNA.

"We expect the Pakistani officials to control the borders, arrest the terrorists and shut down their bases."

"If the terrorist attacks continue, we will hit their safe havens and cells, wherever they are," he added.

Last week, Iran s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also visited Pakistan and asked PM Nawaz Sharif to improve border security.Pakistani government assured Iran that more additional troops will be deployed along its border.
