JUI-F will hold talks with other political and religious parties to form alliance for 2018 elections

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has also started preparation for the 2018 general elections. JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday constituted a committee headed by Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri to hold talks with other political and religious parties to form an alliance or make seat-to-seat adjustments for the 2018 general elections.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman also reiterated his desire that the present assemblies should complete their term.

Speaking about the lynching of a student, Mashal Khan, in Mardan over blasphemy allegations last month, he said what happened in Mardan was wrong and added that no one should be allowed to resort to illegal actions in a fit of emotions.

The JUI-F chief also condemned Afghan forces firing in Chaman and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives of Pakistanis. He also expressed sympathy with the families of martyrs.
