Blaze erupted at tyre warehouse in Karachi ranges on

The blaze suddenly erupted inside the warehouse at 02:00 AM.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The fire that broke out inside a tyre warehouse of Karachi’s Mauripur area ranges on as it could not be put out even after 16 hours, reported Dunya News on Tuesday.

According to details, the 14 fire tenders of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and Pakistan Navy (PN) which are busy in the rescue works have run short of water.

The fire did not claim any human life, but burnt tyres worth millions of rupees. The smoke has spread all around and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has also joined PN and fire brigade department to put the fire out.

The blaze suddenly erupted inside the warehouse at 02:00 AM and four vehicles of fire brigade reached the spot to overcome it. The intensity of fire was so high that it was declared as third degree blaze and all fire tenders of the city were called for.



Four fire tenders of PN also came for rescue. The workers of nearby warehouses reached the incident spot and started to move tyres out of the affected godown which had not caught fire yet.

Fire fighters are still busy to put the fire out, and tyres are also being moved out to minimize the damage. According to fire brigade officials, 50 percent of the fire has been controlled, and it will further take one to two hours to completely overcome the blaze.
