Schools in Punjab to follow revised timings
All public and private schools were ordered to follow new timings announced by Punjab govt
LAHORE (Web Desk) – The government of Punjab announced new school timings for academic year 2017-18 which began from April 1. All public and private schools were ordered to follow the revised timings in schools in Punjab.
In this regard, School Education Department (SED) had issued a notification according to which schools were categorised with respect to shifts, timings and level. SED has announced new timings for summer from April 1 to October 15 and winter from October 16 to March 31.
According to SED notification, the timings of single shift boys’ school from Monday to Thursday and Sunday will be 7:30am to 1pm whereas that of Friday will be 7:30am to 11:30am.
Similarly, girls’ school timings were changed to 7:45am to 1:15pm from Monday to Thursday and Sunday whereas 7:45am to 11:45 on Fridays.
The revised timings of morning shift schools for boys and girls will be 7am to 12pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday whereas that of Friday will remain 7am to 11am.
