The provincial government has also suggested three names as the replacement of AD Khawaja.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh government on Saturday has written a letter to federation seeking to remove Inspector General Sindh A.D Khawaja.

According to details, the provincial government has also suggested three names, including Khadim Hussain Bhatti who is a Grade-21 officer and currently posted as Additional IG Traffic, Ghulam Qadir Thebo who is serving as Chairman Anti-Corruption Establishment and Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti who is another Grade-21 officer of Police Service of Pakistan and working as Additional IG Research Development, Inspections and Enquiries.

AD Khawaja was appointed as Sindh IG on March 12 last year, but gradually developed a rift with the Sindh government after he refused to appoint constables on quota system and hired them through NTS test.

In December 2016, he was sent on forced leave by Sindh government on the directives of prominent leaders after which he got restraining order on his transfer from the court.

Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah suspended the transfer of AD Khawaja for the time being but the provincial government raised the matter again when Supreme Court (SC) demoted the higher officials.
