Pakistan Army would ensure safety of those living in areas nearing border: army chief

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of the Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has paid a visit to Keel and Sharda sectors on Friday.

Media cell of the army also reported that General Bajwa visited Keel and Sharda sectors along the Line of Control.

The army chief was welcomed by Commander of Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza. GOC Murree Major General Azhar Abbas briefed the COAS over situation at the Line of Control.

The army chief was also briefed over army troops’ participation in census besides countering unprovoked aggression at the border by India.

While addressing the troops, General Bajwa said that India is carrying out a propaganda of extremists’ presence along the borders to spread anarchy in Azad Jammu and Kashmir however, the state would not succeed in its ill-motives.

People of Azad Kashmir are fully aware of Indian propaganda and illegal occupation of Kashmir valley since independence, the army chief said.

He vowed that Pakistan Army would ensure safety of those living in areas nearing border.

Separately, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, Major General Asif Ghafoor Bajwa reported that the army chief has thanked the media and the people for making ‘Hum Sab Ka Pakistan’ campaign a success in connection with the Resolution Day.
