Sindh CM announces the initiation of work on Karachi's circular railway under CPEC

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has on Tuesday announced the initiation of work on Karachi’s circular railway and has thanked the federal government for including the project into China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, reported Dunya News.

A seminar was held at a hotel in Karachi on the priorities and challenges related to CPEC. Sindh CM, Governor, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Dr Farooq Sattar and Chinese Counsel General also addressed the seminar.

Sindh CM thanked the federal government on the occasion for including Karachi’s circular railway, Katie Bandar and Dhabeji industrial zones to CPEC. He said that the encroachments on the circular railway’s track are being removed and the affected will be compensated as well.

Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair said on the occasion that the entire country was in unison over CPEC and it wouldn’t be made another Kalabagh Dam.

MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that it was the duty of the politicians to complete the CPEC.

Chinese Counsel General and Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries President said while addressing the seminar that CPEC was pivotal to the trades of both Pakistan and China.
