Dates of basant announced, police ready to do crackdown
Basant will be on 16 February in Rawalpindi cantt, 23 February in city area, 12 March in Islamabad
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Police is ready to do crackdown on kite sellers as locals of Rawalpindi and Islamabad announced dates of basant, reported Dunya News.
According to people on social media, the basant would be held on 16 February in Rawalpindi cantt, in city area on 23 February whereas in Islamabad it would be held on 12 March.
Police were given the task to arrest the kite sellers and CPO Rawalpindi ordered all DSPs and SHOs to find them. According to sources, kites were brought from Quetta and Peshawar and stored in new satellite town area.
