2400 megawatts of electricity to be added by September

The development will appear after completion of three LNG power plants

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The LNG power plants installed in Bahadur Shah, Balloki and Bhakkar will start producing electricity by September, 2017. The outcome of some initiatives against load shedding have already started to show bright signs.

During the initial period, these projects will yield 2400 megawatts of electricity, however, the production will hit the 3600 megawatts mark during January, 2018.



For this purpose, three more LNG power plants will be imported. Bhakkar power plant will start producing 800 megawatts of energy by March.

The project has already been joined with the national grid.
