Blast targeting FC vehicle injures 9 in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - At least nine persons including three FC personnel were injured in a bomb blast near Charsadda road in Peshawar on Tuesday.

The Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were coming from Mohmand Agency’s Ghalanai tehsil when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Naguman area of Peshawar.

Three security personnel and six passersby were injured in the incident. FC vehicle was badly damaged.



Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.

The attack took place few days after more than 20 people were killed and dozens were injured in Parachinar, capital of the Kurram tribal district, Pakistan’s northwestern tribal belt.

It was the first major militant attack in the country in 2017.
