Waseem Akhtar claimed that big powers had failed in taking resignation from him

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The mayor of Karachi Waseem Akhtar made it clear that big powers have been unsuccessful in taking resignation from him. He warned on Wednesday saying that he will raise the issue of powers in court against Sindh government.

He blasted on the provincial authorities for limited resources, garbage piles and sewerage issues. “The projects worth billions are being conducted without planning and our consideration”, he complained.

When a reporter suggested the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader to resign if he has no powers, he replied aggressively saying that he will be going to court against Sindh government. He claimed that big powers had failed to take resignation from him.

Waseem Akhtar announced a reward for the construction company that conducted University Road building project in a quick and professional manner. He asked the Sindh government to give fire tenders to local body representatives instead of cars.
