Arrest made in connection to 'fake' receipts case
As many as Rs 100 million rupees were transferred into the accounts of each of these leaders.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Asim Qaimkhani revealed that the criminal in connection to fake receipts case has been arrested.
Asim Qaimkhani revealed that suspect Ateeq issued fake receipts Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, leaders of the opposition in both the Houses of Parliament Syed Khursheed Shah and Aitzaz Ahsan and JUI-F leader Fazal Rahman.
It has also been reported that receipts amounting to Rs 100 million rupees were transferred into the accounts of each of these leaders.
Initial investigations proved these receipts as fake upon which Raza Rabbani sent this matter to FIA.
FIA arrested an employee of a private bank named Ateeq in their operation. Further investigations are underway.
