Gujranwala: Extortionist arrested, arms recovered
Police arrested PML-N leader Zahid Anayat for extorting Rs 45,000 from a citizen in Gujranwala.
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – According to details, police from Gujranwala’s Cantt Police Station arrested Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Zahid Anayat alias Tumman Butt and his accomplice Tanvir Butt on Tuesday and recovered one Kalashnikov, one pistol and dozens of bullets from their possession.
Police sources said that the accused had extorted Rs 45,000 from a citizen on Monday at gunpoint. Police further informed that the accused were involved in 24 cases of murder, attempted murder and other heinous crimes.
