Provincial and local government finally came into action with Karachi's poor condition after rain

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The provincial government of Sindh finally came into conscience with rain water devastating various regions of Karachi yesterday.

The Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah carried out sudden visits of provincial capital while he was accompanied with Minister for Local Government Jam Khan Shoro.

He visited certain rain affected areas of Natha Khan and Gulistan e Johar. Interestingly, Sindh CM called the situation under control while talking to media. He stated that the condition of Karachi after rain is ‘satisfactory’. Murad Ali Shah motored around the wet roads in his car.



He expressed relief after his visits and said that he came out to see whether the rain has turned into a bane for citizens. Moreover, Local Government Minister also called the situation satisfactory while talking to media at Shahra e Faisal.

On the other hand, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar also came out for visits of his ownl. He overviewed the condition of Naher-e-Khayyam and asked administration to take precautionary measures.



Karachi mayor visited all rain affected areas of the city, however, he complained about funds and infrastructure while media talk. At Dunya News program  TezTar5 , Waseem Akhtar said that it s local representatives  job to visit the city after rain.

Waseem Akhtar expressed intentions of going to Supreme Court against Sindh government in order to decentralise powers for local body. “A few hours of rain has disturbed Karachi”, he complained while pointing out the blatant claims of provincial representatives.
