ISLAMABAD: (Daily Dunya) – The number of complaints received by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in 2016 was double compared to the number of complaints received in 2015, reported Daily Dunya.

NAB’s national anti-corruption strategy bore fruit in the current year and the organisation plans to continue with the same plan during 2017 as well.

Since its establishment, NAB has recovered Rs 285 billion. The performance is better than most agencies in the world investigating white collar crime.

According to NAB’s annual report, new law officers were deployed in the prosecution division during this year. In September, all countries from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARA), including India, praised Pakistan’s efforts to curb corruption during SAARC Anti-Corruption seminar.
