Electric system breaks down due to pollution spread by people: Dr Fayyaz
MD of National Transmission and Dispatch Company holds people responsible for power breakdowns
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) Managing Director (MD) Dr Fayyaz has on Monday held common people responsible for the power breakdowns, saying that the pollution spread by people causes the electricity to break down, reported Dunya News.
Talking to media, Dr Fayyaz Ahmad Chaudhry said that it is the people who pollute the air which then mixes into fog and smog, ultimately causing the breakdown of the system.
He said that the department was trying to install fog insulators but the lengthy process of purchasing the equipment was causing the delays.
Although he held public responsible for the breakdown but also promised that by 2018 all the energy produced will be transmitted to the people.
NTDC MD said that the department will start upgrading the system from coming summers so that system breakdowns may be minimised.
