Nisar hosts luncheon in honour of ex-DG of ISI
The Interior Minister lauded Rizwan Akhtar's efforts for peace in the country and the region
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan hosted a luncheon in honour of ex-Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar on Monday.
The gathering was attended by Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Finance, Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique, National Security Advisor (NSA) Nasir Janjua and freshly appointed DG of ISI, Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar.
On the occasion, the Interior Minister lauded Rizwan Akhtar’s efforts for peace in the country and the region.
Series of new appointments in key positions of the country came last month when Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa assumed charge as the leader of Pakistan Army after General Raheel Sharif retired after a much applauded three-year tenure.
Recently, another key appointment was made as Major General Asif Ghafoor was made the Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa was appointed elsewhere.
