PPP says Nisar's berating tone about SC unacceptable, announces filing write petition against him

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has on Sunday decided to move court against Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan terming his yesterday’s press conference as berating for Supreme Court (SC). They said the minister’s tone was unacceptable. Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is adamant that the interior minister must resign, reported Dunya News.

In view of Interior Minister’s press conference responding to Quetta tragedy inquiry report, PTI demanded his resignation. PTI also demanded answers for several questions regarding Nisar’s press conference. Shah Mehmood Qureshi asked how a banned outfit could hold public meeting in Islamabad despite the imposition of Section-144. “Who allowed a banned outfit’s member sit in the meeting? The aggressive press conference by Interior Minister was tantamount to contempt of court and he must resign”, he said.

PPP also responded sharply to Nisar’s press conference. Latif Khosa said that such berating tone for SC couldn’t be allowed. He also announced to move court against the minister citing the contempt. The PPP leader said that the report on Quetta tragedy was not commission’s but from Supreme Court.
