ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has demanded resignation of Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday after a report of the judicial commission was released over Quetta attack.

During a session of the Senate today, Leader of the Opposition, PPP’s Aitzaz Ahsan said that report of the judicial commission was a ‘charge-sheet’ and ‘First Information Report’ against Chaudhry Nisar.

The senator claimed that Chaudhry Nisar was held responsible by the report for security lapse. He asserted that the report was a source of embarrassment for the Interior Minister.

Aitzaz Ahsan alleged Nisar of have convened meetings with leader of a banned outfit and allowing banned organisations of rallying the federal capital.

On the other hand, Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA), Khurshid Shah said that commission’s report had validated PPP’s stance and warned that successes achieved under Operation Zarb-e-Azb were likely to go in vain if Nisar continued with the same mindset.
