Tendered resignation out of personal reasons, says Azam Sehgal

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has resigned on Tuesday after PK-661 flight from Chitral to Islamabad crashed near Havelian last week.

Azam Sehgal, the now former chairman said that he tendered resignation out of personal reasons.

Spokesperson for PIA confirmed that the resignation was received however, the board would take a formal decision in the matter. The board is entitled to either accept the resignation or reject it.

PK-661 aircraft met an accident last Wednesday when all 48 persons onboard were killed including District Coordination Officer (DCO) of Chitral and religious scholar Junaid Jamshed and his wife.
