FIA arrested former registrar of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council in fake registration scandal

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has on Thursday arrested former Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) registrar Ahmad Nadeem in a raid in Islamabad’s G-11 sector, reported Dunya News.

Ahmad Nadeem is accused of fake registration of medical colleges and foreign doctors. He will be presented before the court for remand on Friday.

An emergency meeting of PMDC has been called over the arrest of one of the key suspects in the scandal.

Not only did the emergency meeting decide to restore Dr Ahmad Nadeem as an OSD but the notification of his restoration was also issued on today’s date. Dr Ahmad Nadeem is also wanted to National Accountability Bureau in several other corruption cases.
