PM approves construction of 30 modern hospitals countrywide

Four to five 100-bed hospitals shall also be constructed in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday approved the formation of 30 modern hospitals in various parts of the country. The hospitals shall be constructed within a record time period of 18 months whereas the funds for the project shall be provided by the PM Office and the finance ministry, reported Dunya News.

PM Nawaz preferred that the hospitals be constructed in backwards areas, further approving the construction of three hospitals in Islamabad. Four to five 100-bed hospitals shall also be constructed in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

PM also ordered to clear all the hindrances present in the construction of Women and Children Hospital in Rawalpindi. Prime Minister ordered that the designs regarding the infrastructure of the hospitals be made with consultation from foreign experts.

Ten 500-bed hospitals and twenty hospitals having 250 beds shall be constructed around the country through the project.
