General Raheel lauds sacrifices of doctors, paramedical staff

Essential for doctors to remain updated with latest research in medical fields, says COAS

ABBOTTABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif paid visit to Army Medical Centre (AMC), Abbottabad, on Friday and lauded the sacrifices made by doctors and paramedical staff in the battle against terrorism, reported Dunya News.

Army chief said that the Army Medical Corps was always on its toes in order to provide its services whenever the country was struck by natural disasters. General Raheel lauded the efforts made in the upgrading of army hospitals, specifically the construction of the liver transplant centre and related infrastructure for the surgery of other organs.

General Raheel appreciated the efforts of the Army Medical Corps and stated that it was essential for the doctors to be aware of the latest research made in various medical fields.

Army chief badged Lieutenant General Asif Mumtaz Sukhera with the badges of AMC Colonel Commandant. He paid visit to the memorial of the martyrs and prayed there as well.
